Student C is from Jiangsu Province. C attended elementary, middle and high school in China. After graduating from senior high school at the end of June this year, C came to us in early July with the goal of studying at a world-renowned university in Australia. In just one and a half months, with our assistance, C arrived in Brisbane on August 22nd and started a new stage of her study journey.

In C's case, the timeline was tight, and our team strived to be efficient and organized in every step of the process, ultimately ensuring that C arrived in time for the start of the school year in August.

July 7: We received student C's enquiry about studying abroad and guided C to choose the right institution and course.

Case Review:

Every year after the college entrance examination, many families of high school graduates will choose to let their children study abroad for further education. As far as studying in Australia is concerned, there are 3 kinds of study channels after the college entrance examination:

1.If the results of the college entrance examination and English language scores such as IELTS and TOEFL can meet the requirements for direct entry to undergraduate programs, you can apply for direct entry to the first year of undergraduate programs.

2.If the high school entrance examination results or English scores do not meet the requirements for direct admission to undergraduate programs, you can choose a one-year international freshman program, and after completing the program, you will be admitted to the second year of undergraduate study at the university.

3.If you do not meet the admission requirements of undergraduate direct entry and international freshman year, you can choose the undergraduate preparatory program, and after completing the program, you will be admitted to the first year of undergraduate program of the university.

Student C's Gao Kao score has reached the direct entry score line, but because the IELTS score is only 5.0, which is not enough to meet the direct entry requirements, so C chose the University of Queensland's 10-month undergraduate preparatory course + three-year undergraduate program for further study.

The fact that student C in this case was able to study in Australia within 2 months after the college entrance exam was due to C's advance planning and two-handed preparation. During C's senior year, while preparing for the college entrance exam, C used summer and winter vacation time to study and take three IELTS exams in advance, and got an IELTS score of 5.0, which met the admission requirements of the Foundation Program, and thus successfully enrolled in the Foundation Program of the University of Queensland.

Tips:

1. Students who have completed their second year of senior high school can apply for the undergraduate foundation program.

2. Some universities in Australia, UK, New Zealand, Canada and other countries offer foundation programs.

3. Except for the University of Melbourne, all major universities in Australia accept domestic college entrance examination results to apply for undergraduate direct entry. The University of Melbourne offers preparatory courses, and students who want to study at the University of Melbourne can also choose to study at the University of Melbourne first.

4. Early planning for studying abroad and making preparations in advance can ease the anxiety of students and their parents, as well as guarantee a smooth transition to higher education on time.
