Client Background: WYL is a Year 4 student at a well-known English-medium international school in Suzhou. She has excellent grades, a wide range of hobbies and interests, and is good at playing the piano.
Client's request: WYL wishes to enter Year 5 in Australia in 2024 and hopes to be exempted from AEAS exams and apply to a top private school in Australia.
Difficulties: Australia's top quality private schools are very tight for places, especially in Sydney and Melbourne, and you usually need to apply 2-3 years in advance and wait in the queue for a place. At the same time, most of the private colleges require the submission of qualified AEAS scores for Year 5 and above. Moreover, the student wants to enroll as soon as possible and wants to be admitted to the top institutions.
Solution: When designing the program for WYL, we adopted the program of applying to the top girls' schools in several regions of Australia at the same time. In the first step, we contacted 15 of the best private schools in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and asked the student about their degree programs. The second step is to select the institutions that parents and students are satisfied with, and at the same time submit applications to institutions that have some possibility of 2024 degrees. The third step was to assist the student in taking the written exams and interviews at each institution.
Admission results: WYL students passed the school's assessment, and finally admitted to their favorite Melbourne century-old famous girls' school MLC (Methodist Ladies' College, Melbourne). She is now enrolled in the school.
Case Review: Top Australian private schools require advance planning, applying for places 2 to 3 years in advance and waiting in line, so as to maximize the chances of getting into their most preferred colleges and universities. At the same time, international school students who have 3 to 5 years of English-medium learning experience have the opportunity to apply for exemption from the AEAS exam.
